The Gumby Award: Maintaining a positive healthcare workforce culture in pandemic times and beyond
Tampa General Hospital got creative when they saw the stress and burnout of employees brought on by COVID–19. To recognize their healthcare heroes who worked through these challenging times, they invented an award that honored teams demonstrating resiliency, flexibility and world–class care. For three years now, TGH’s Gumby Award program has exemplified the importance of creating a positive culture among teams.
