To support the development of patient experience professionals, The Beryl Institute offers continuing education credits (pending approval) through webinars, programs and events to qualifying participants. 

Patient Experience Continuing Education Credits (PXEs), available through The Beryl Institute Credentialing Center, are designed to enhance expertise in patient experience. The Credentialing Center is dedicated to advancing the field by promoting professional certification, offering ongoing education opportunities, and supporting the continuous improvement of patient experience practices.

How to Claim PXEs

Live & On-Demand Webinars

Most webinars offered by The Beryl Institute are eligible for one PXE. PXE credits can be earned by viewing a live webinar or an on-demand session. PXE credits are currently available for over 65 on-demand webinars included with your membership.

ELEVATE PX

Every year at the global patient experience event participants are eligible to obtain Patient ExperienceContinuing Education (PXE), AMA PRA Category 1 Credits (CME for MD and DOs), other learners using AMA designated certificates (PAs, NPs, and Nurses), NAHQ and Social Work credits. 

ELEVATE PX 2026 will take place March 30-April 1 in Dallas, Texas. Registration pricing is discounted for members of The Beryl Institute.

Body of Knowledge (BOK) Courses

  • 1 PXE for completing a patient experience-related academic course

Professional Service Activities

  • 1 PXE for each year of service as an officer of a healthcare association, board or professional society
  • 1 PXE for one year of participation on a committee or workgroup of a healthcare association, board or professional society

How to Claim PXEs

Most PXE-approved events will be issued a unique survey link. Participants can claim PXE credits by completing the survey after each approved event.

Webinars from The Beryl Institute

Live Webinars
To obtain PXE for the live webinar, participants must attend the webinar in its entirety and complete the webinar survey. Participants will be redirected to the survey when the webinar closes and the survey will be sent in a follow-up email to registrants the day after the webinar.

Webinar Recordings
PXE credit may be claimed for up to 2 years following the original live webinar date. 7-10 business days after the live webinar, anyone who completes the a survey will receive a Statement of Credit email with instructions on how to upload the PXE credit to their profile.
