The Human Experience Imperative: Practical insights for executives on organizational strategy, structure and impact

This paper identifies the critical reasons healthcare leaders today must invest in experience leadership and structure. Contributions to this paper were captured from 42 participating organizations via a 50-item survey designed by the Institute’s Experience Leaders Circle. The paper moves beyond lines and boxes, revealing six reasons why a dedicated experience effort and a structure to support it are essential to becoming a provider of choice. The study concludes with seven positive outcomes that result from effective experience infrastructure, offering healthcare executives clear, actionable insights. These outcomes emphasize the value of embedding experience into the organizational fabric to drive measurable improvements in care delivery, culture, and overall system performance. This resource serves as a roadmap for healthcare leaders seeking to lead with empathy, accountability, and a renewed commitment to human-centered care.
