Perceived Patient Benefit from Sleep Promoting Interventions

The purpose of this study conducted by North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York was to evaluate patients’ perceived benefits from sleep promoting interventions (SIPs). The study offered insight into the need for customizing SIPs to fit the individual patient’s needs. In addition, it is strongly felt that this initiative enhanced the patient and staff experiences by providing interventions to promote patients’ sleep and comfort in a healing and caring environment.
