In response, patients and physicians turned to telehealth for many health services, including direct COVID-19 testing and guidance. While there are numerous benefits to this approach, it is important to continually monitor alternative models of care for quality. Understanding the patient experience through an expanded telehealth model, particularly in relation to in-person care, allows us to enhance the overall process, ensuring high quality and paving the way for its role in the future of healthcare.
