WMTY.world Monthly Meeting (May 20, 2026)

3pm UTC / 10am ET / 9am CT / 8am MT / 7am PT – WMTY.world monthly meetings are a space for exchanging experiences, connecting with others, and exploring the art of asking, listening, and doing what really matters to people. Join the conversation to share stories, celebrate successes, and learn from challenges as we work together to bring the spirit of “What Matters to You?” into health and social care settings.
Martha’s Rule is a person-centred patient safety initiative being implemented in the NHS in England and now Scotland. It is designed to empower patients, families, and healthcare staff to request an urgent medical review if they feel their concerns about a patient’s care are not being addressed. This initiative aims to systematically harness sources of intuition and insight that might otherwise be overlooked, to support early identification of clinical deterioration and rapid review.
Martha Mills died in 2021 after developing sepsis in hospital, where she had been admitted with a pancreatic injury after falling off her bike. Martha’s family’s concerns about her deteriorating condition were not responded to, and in 2023 a coroner ruled that Martha, aged 13, would probably have survived had she been moved to intensive care earlier.
WMTY.world monthly meetings are complimentary. This meeting does not offer patient experience continuing education credit (PXEs).
