We know that seeing loved ones is critical to the emotional and physical healing of the patients that we care for. When COVID-19 restrictions limited patient visitations, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) nurses began helping patients connect to friends and family through virtual communication applications. The Virtual Visit Volunteers coordinate and assist with video connections between patients and their loved ones during hospital stays.
