Restoring the Relationship Between Patient and Physician
The relationship between patients and physicians is the cornerstone of healthcare—rooted in trust, respect, and meaningful communication. Yet, the demands of today’s healthcare environment often leave little room for the deep connections that make this relationship so powerful.
In response, we are excited to introduce Humanity in Healthcare: Let’s Work Together, a project championed by the physician workgroup of The Beryl Institute. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for patients and their physicians to come together, one-on-one, to share their stories, listen deeply, and strengthen their bond by connecting as human beings beyond the clinical setting.
Who can participate?
We are seeking pairs of patients and physicians who are open to sharing their authentic experiences and engaging in meaningful dialogue. Participants do not have to be members of The Beryl Institute.
How will results be collected and shared?
Participants will be surveyed twice about their experience, immediately following the storytelling session and again six months later. The project outcomes will be shared with The Beryl Institute community through one of our standard content formats.
