PX Chat – Restfulness of Hospital Environment

12pm ET / 11am CT / 10am MT / 9am PT – Join The Beryl Institute community for an engaging PX Chat as we explore the 2025 updates to the HCAHPS survey, with a special focus on the new “Restfulness of Hospital Environment” measure. Breakout discussion groups will provide the opportunity for community members to share how their organizations are addressing the challenges and opportunities tied to rest, noise, and healing environments in support of patient recovery.
*PX Chats are a member benefit. The event is not recorded and does not offer patient experience continuing education credit (PXE).
Breakout Discussion Questions:
- How is your organization currently addressing the restfulness of the hospital environment, and what new strategies are you considering in response to the 2025 HCAHPS changes?
- What operational or cultural barriers have you encountered when trying to create a quieter, more restful patient environment—especially at night?
- How are you gathering real-time or post-discharge feedback about noise and rest from patients, and how are you using that data to drive change?
- Beyond physical noise reduction, what creative approaches have you seen or implemented to promote rest and recovery during a patient’s hospital stay?
