WMTY.world Monthly Meeting (December 17, 2025)
Upcoming Event - December 17, 2025
3pm UTC / 10am ET / 9am CT / 8am MT / 7am PT – WMTY.world monthly meetings are a space for exchanging experiences, connecting with others, and exploring the art of asking, listening, and doing what really matters to people. Join the conversation to share stories, celebrate successes, and learn from challenges as we work together to bring the spirit of “What Matters to You?” into health and social care settings.
Our next call will focus on how the WMTY approach needs to be adapted to ensure successful local adoption. We will share two experiences from French-speaking contexts: one from Belgium and one from Guadeloupe.
Belgium
PAQS is an organization that supports quality improvement across two regions—Brussels and Wallonia—working with all healthcare organizations. This initiative was created by the healthcare sector, for the healthcare sector, and is supported by all stakeholders. Our goal is to improve quality throughout the system—for patients, staff, and organizations.
Laure Istas from PAQS will explain how the organization translated the WMTY concept into French and adapted it to local culture to encourage adoption across as many organizations as possible. She will also share the tools and services PAQS provides to spread the movement in French-speaking Belgium. And yes, for such a small country, we have three official languages and three regions—each requiring a specific adaptation of WMTY. A true chameleon story!
Guadeloupe
Isabelle Noyon and Ambre Bucher from ORAQS-97.1 support healthcare professionals in their ongoing efforts to improve the quality of care. They share a strong conviction: real progress is only possible when patients actively help guide the process. They discovered the What Matters to You? (WMTY) movement in 2023 while preparing a seminar on compassionate care. At that time, the approach was little known in France, yet its principles and the warm welcome from WMTY.world encouraged us to gradually integrate it into local practices. Since then, we have been encouraging healthcare and medico-social organizations to introduce the question, “What matters to you?” into their interactions. Eighteen months later, we continue on this path with the same conviction: new opportunities are emerging to strengthen patient-centered quality.
WMTY.world monthly meetings are complimentary. This meeting does not offer patient experience continuing education credit (PXEs).
