The Beryl Institute's Boards and Councils bring valuable insights to guide the Institute forward as the independent, central voice and global community of practice for experience improvement. We count on members of our community to volunteer to participate on our boards and councils to provide the critical guidance needed to support growth and development of the patient experience community.

The following are accepting applications for the 2026-2027 term:

Global Patient & Family Advisory Board

A critical commitment of the Institute is to serve as the hub for all voices impacting and influencing the patient experience movement. The Global Patient and Family Advisory Board complements the Institute’s boards by ensuring the voices of patients and families are a central consideration in the strategic direction and offerings of the Institute.

Community Council

The Community Council convenes the diverse segments of the Institute community to engage in strategic review and feedback, address and plan for specific segment needs, and identify opportunities for expanded connection and collaboration. 

The following workgroup segments are currently accepting applications for open 2026 positions:

    • Equity & Inclusion

    • Hospitality Houses/Lodging*
    • Language Services
    • Patient Advocacy
    • Patient, Family & Care Partners
    • Pediatric
    • Physicians
    • Rural Hospitals
    • Spiritual Care*

*We're seeking passionate volunteers to help launch these new workgroups. A minimum number of interested members is required to form each group.
